Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join a new bistro in DuPont Circle. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for our guests in both fine dining and casual settings.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working order.
Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink selections.
Process orders efficiently using Toast POS system, handling transactions accurately.
Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and adhere to responsible service practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
Participate in promotional events or catering services as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Bartender in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards and cocktail preparation techniques.
Excellent math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs effectively.
Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality to create memorable guest experiences.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for sales and upselling drink specials or menu items is highly valued.
