About the position

As a Store Associate at Capitol Hill Cleaners & Laundry, you’ll enhance the customer experience at a busy neighborhood dry-cleaning and laundry shop. You’ll provide attentive service, keep daily operations running smoothly, and ensure garments are processed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

Provide delightful, attentive, and hospitable service to every customer and teammate.
Maintain organization and attention to detail in daily operations (opening/closing, register, tidy front).
Handle processing of garments (check-in, tagging, inspection, minor spotting notes).
Wash & Fold: weigh, sort, launder, dry, fold, and package customer orders.
Collaborate effectively as a team player to achieve store goals.
Follow standard operating procedures for quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
1+ year of customer service experience required.
Comfortable interacting with people and solving problems in a fast-paced setting.
Able to stand, move, and lift up to ~25–30 lbs during a shift.
Must speak English

Nice-to-haves

Experience in a service business (dry cleaning, laundry, cafés, retail, restaurants).
Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash-handling.

Work Schedule:

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week (flexible schedule can be discussed)

Job Type: Full-time or part time

Pay: $18 -$20 per hour
