GENERAL SUMMARY:

District Wharf Properties LLC is hiring an Operations Assistant to join its dynamic operations team. This role will support the ongoing operations of The Wharf — a 3.3 million square foot mixed-use development along the Potomac River in Washington, DC. The project includes a diverse blend of retail, residential, office, hotel, maritime, and entertainment spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform routine inspections and maintenance across common areas of the property

· Assist in managing inventories and equipment storage

· Support logistics for event setups, load-ins/load-outs, and operational prep

· Operate or assist with equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and bobcats (training can be provided)

· Transport supplies and materials as needed across the site

· Troubleshoot and resolve minor building-related issues (doors, lighting, signage, etc.)

· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in work areas

· Coordinate with engineering and management teams to complete tasks efficiently

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical School certifications and/or training preferred

· Valid Driver’s License

· 1-2 years of mid-level experience in building operations or facility support

· Familiarity with commercial property systems and institutional facilities preferred

· Comfortable lifting, moving and handling heavy items

· Strong team – oriented mindset; dependable and proactive attitude

· Must be in the Washington, DC area and have the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

COMPENSATION: $65-$70k
