Family Peer Support Navigator

Job Summary

Join our team to provide education and support to families navigating the social, legal, educational, and healthcare systems. Assist in developing plans, building community support networks, and ensuring families understand their rights. Facilitate access to resources, partnership building, and delivering training workshops and open house events.

Key Responsibilities

- Support families with education and emotional assistance

- Help families access services and resources

- Empower families to articulate their needs effectively

- Develop strong community partnerships

- Conduct training workshops and open house events

- Maintain a directory of behavioral health resources

- Collaborate with NHCS staff on educational programs and support

- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining client files

Qualifications

- Personal experience as a primary caregiver for someone with intensive mental health needs or substance use challenges

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Familiar with state and local resources

- Strong ability to build partnerships

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Strong computer skills and internet resourcefulness

- Willingness to learn database usage (Salesforce)

- Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required

- Driver’s license and access to a vehicle required (in-state travel)

Pay: $22.42 - $23.00 per hour
