Medical Assistant for Primary Care Office
**MUST BE MEDICAL ASSISTANT CERTIFIED**

We are a growing, primary care office located in Fall Church, VA seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English (Spanish would be valued), punctual, detail-oriented, have excellent clinical and communication skills, and be able to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast paced and professional environment.

Job Type: Full-Time
This position is available for a Medical Assistant and requires the Medical Assistant to be able to work the front and back office as needed.
Our office hours are 8am-5pm M-F. Our Medical Assistants need to be available to work an approximately 8.5 hr. shift within any of these days, for a 40 hour total work week.

Patients seen are ages 0-100; patient must be comfortable providing treatment for any patient in this age group.

Job requirements include, but not limited to:
-Computer skills and experience with EMRs
-Certified Medical Assistant
-Well organized and detail-oriented
-Highly motivated
-Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
-Triage patients (obtain vital signs)
-Perform finger stick glucose monitoring, administer intramuscular injections, administer vaccines, draw blood, perform diagnostic tests like COVID swabs, Strep tests, and flu swabs.

-Comfort with testing, immunizations, blood draws to newborns, infants, children, and adults.
-Prepare, file, and electronically update medical records
-Maintain cleanliness of the treatment area, assist in ordering clinical supplies
-Assist in scheduling appointments, answer telephones, give messages to patients, prepare-receive faxes (on at-need basis for emergency coverage only)
-Recognize and initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations

Only individuals meeting minimum requirements and providing necessary materials will be considered. Individual must also be willing to start as soon as possible.
Required License or Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant
Phlebotomy (optional)
