Medical Assistant Wanted

This individual is a direct extension of our friendly physicians. This position entails handling all duties associated with the back office, including but not limited to: escorting patient to room, triaging chief complaint, assisting doctor while in room, completing note in E.M.R., assisting with minor procedures, taking x-rays and vitals, explaining treatments and products, making appointments, explaining insurance benefits, and anything else asked of you. You do NOT have to be certified.

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records

- Make appointments and triage the phone

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program helpful but not needed
- Certification as a medical assistant not needed
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
