Position Overview:

The office of J. Desiree Pineda, M.D. is seeking a highly organized and dependable healthcare professional to join our team. This position will focus both on front desk responsibilities and medical work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both front and back office operations, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and bring a commitment to delivering efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.

Front Desk & Administrative Duties:

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Manage patient check-in/check-out, including verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and confirming appointments.
Schedule appointments, coordinate follow-ups, and manage patient communications.
Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages accurately.
Maintain front office organization and ensure timely patient flow in alignment with provider schedules.
Support the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and other office systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or outpatient medical office setting.
Prior front desk and administrative support experience in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
English/Spanish speaking preferred.
Experience in handling both front and back office tasks is highly desirable.
Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional demeanor, medical ethics, and patient confidentiality are essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
