Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry production and a creative flair for cake decorating. The Pastry Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to create delicious desserts and pastries that meet our high standards of excellence.

Duties

Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal for customer satisfaction.
Assist in the packaging of baked goods for retail display or catering orders.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal specialties.
Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
Conduct inventory checks on pastry supplies and assist in ordering as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in pastry production and baking techniques.
Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and preparation of ingredients.
Experience in the food industry, particularly within a restaurant or catering environment.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients or guests.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
