Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist/ Front Desk to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our medical office and providing exceptional service to our patients.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar using Athena or similar systems.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Process patient information, including insurance verification for Medicare and other plans.
Assist with office management tasks, including maintaining supplies and managing correspondence.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic.
Take patient vitals during intake
Assist with Gynecology procedures

Skills

Proficiency in office management practices and medical terminology.
Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills to manage appointments and patient records effectively.
A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
