Duties

- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients with history of substance use.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as, motivational interviewing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in need.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Requirements

- Valid state licensure or certification as a Counselor in Maryland. Minimum of trainee status required.
- Experience working with individuals with substance use, a plus.
- Familiarity with behavioral health interventions and evidence-based practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Experience in medication-assisted treatment preferred but not required.
