Ensuring the website is maintained, optimizing navigation of the website, working with divisions to ensure up-to-date information, creating relevant content, social media posting, graphics design, writing, and other duties as assigned. About The AgencyThe Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) is responsible for coordinating and enforcing standards that control what goes on before, during, and after construction. Staff from nine agencies, who work cooperatively on permit processing, business licensing, plan review, inspection and enforcement comprise Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement. The Mission of the Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement is to promote economic development in Prince George's County and protect the safety of County residents, businesses, and visitors through efficient permitting, inspection and licensing services to ensure compliance with established building, zoning and property standards codes.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Website Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the website, ensuring it is functional, and up-to-date.Content Management: Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia. This may involve creating new content or auditing existing content for relevance and accuracy. Publish all content with 24 hours of receipt of content. Performance Analysis: Monitor website performance using analytics tools, analyzing traffic data to identify areas for improvement and optimize user experience. Create a monthly report regarding website changes and analytics. Collaboration: Work closely with divisions to ensure the website aligns with DPIE’s mission. This includes enhancing the website's visual appeal and functionality. User Experience: Ensure the website provides a high-quality user experience, making it easy for visitors to navigate and find information. Graphics, Writing Create flyers, brochures, and graphics as content for the website, social media, etc. Create useful, meaningful, and functional visuals using various means of technology. Create and design various materials for digital and print, selecting colors, fonts, images, and layouts. Advise on best practices and optimizations throughout design projects. Revise projects based on client feedback.Develop visual assets to support a marketing campaign. Design a graphic overlay for social media posts.Meet weekly with divisions to identify their needs. Adhering to the goals and deadlines set by the manager. Ensure best practices and optimizations throughout design projects are adhered to in all graphics, website content, and social media posts.Write engaging content across various formats, conduct research, and ensure high-quality writing that meets the needs of the DPIE audience.Social MediaCapture the work that DPIE does throughout the agency. Post daily on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, FaceBook/META, X).Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Create and execute social media campaigns/strategies to increase brand awareness and customer engagement across various platforms. Content Creation: Create, generate, curate, and manage published content (images, videos, written posts) that aligns with the brand's voice and goals. Communication Skills: must demonstrate excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey DPIE brand messaging. Social Media Expertise: In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook/META, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, etc.) and their respective best practices. Creativity: Strong creative skills to develop engaging content that resonates with the DPIE audience. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze social media metrics and derive reports and actionable insights to improve performance. Report weekly on DPIE social media metrics. Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, and adherence to style guidelines before publication.
