We are looking for an experienced truck driver to operate one of our dump trucks.

Responsibilities

Routine pre-trip inspection of the vehicle each day. Taking note of mechanical items and safety issues that need preventative maintenance or attention of the mechanic.
Document trips and loads carried each day.
Show up for work consistently.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions on job site or landfill.

Skills

Ability to maintain focus on the road and your surroundings throughout the day.
Manual drivers must be able to operate 8-speed manual transmission at least.
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
No recent moving or driving violations.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
General knowledge of the DMV area and ability to navigate in a safe but timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
