Job Summary
The Assistant Restaurant General Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and a high-quality dining experience for our guests. This position involves overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and contributing to the development of a positive team culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the food and beverage industry, particularly in fine dining settings.

Duties

Assist in managing restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members.
Oversee food production and kitchen operations to maintain quality standards.
Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed by all staff members.
Coordinate catering services and special events to meet customer needs.
Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic planning and operational improvements.

Qualifications

Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations.
Experience in fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to train and develop staff effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
A passion for coffee and beverage service is a plus.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
