This Position is for An Enthusiastic medical assistant

We are a fast paced OB-GYN medical office located in Greenbelt, MD. Seeking for a dependable, self motivated medical receptionist/ Medical Assistant with good verbal skills, able to communicate in English and Spanish language and with medical staff, patient and our clinical staff. Medical Assistant must have excellent written and verbal skills, able to use computer and EMR, EHR.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

. Able to multitask, attention to detail is a must

. Front desk duties such as greeting patient/checking in and out,

.verifying patient insurance

. collecting of copays, correctly entering card information and payment information in correct systems.

. Scheduling patients for different procedures, accurately keeping this information in excel format.

.Scanning of patient lab results/ultrasound

. Calling patients for their results

. Answering phone call in a professional manner

.Strong organizational skills is a must

. Previous experience with EMR necessary but will train

.Experience working at a medical office a must, but will train

Graduate from a medical assistant program, diploma a must.

Experience: One of the following:

6 months experience as a medical assistant with front desk experience a must.

6 months related experience and/or training.

Skills:

Ability to triage patients

1. Medical terminology.

2. Recognition of physical exam process and ability to record exam details when needed.

3. Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications.

4. Legible handwriting and ability to accurately record information.

5. Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow.

6. Professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families and to medical staff.

Candidates must be able to multi-task, be a quick learner, ambitious and hard-working. The position has excellent opportunities for growth for those candidates meeting the said criteria.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
