Job Title: Business Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and efficient Business Assistant to join our team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations. You will handle patient inquiries, manage scheduling, processing payments, and perform various administrative tasks to support our dental team.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and Check-In Patients: Welcome patients as they arrive, confirm appointments, and ensure accurate patient information is collected and updated.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage the appointment schedule by booking, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments. Ensure the schedule is optimized for efficiency and minimal wait times.
Patient Communication: Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services, procedures, and policies. Communicate with patients regarding appointment reminders and post visit follow up.
Insurance Verification and Billing: Verify patient insurance coverage, assist with claims processing, and ensure correct billing procedures. Inform patients of out of pocket costs as needed.
Payment Processing: Collect and process patient payments and issue receipts.
Maintain a Clean Reception Area: Keep the front desk and the waiting area clean and beverage station stocked.

Record Management: Update and maintain patient records, ensuring that information is accurate and kept confidential according to HIPAA regulations.

Support Dental Team: Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and support any front desk needs related to patient care.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent; additional administrative training is a plus
Previous experience in a dental or medical office is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing and verification is a plus.
Proficient in office management software (ie: Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Working Hours:

Monday 7:30am - 4:30pm

Tuesday 7:30am - 4:30pm (first shift) 10:00am - 6:30pm (second shift)

Wednesday 8:30am - 6:30pm

Thursday 8:30 - 4:30 (first shift) 10:00am - 7:30pm (second shift)

Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

Salary:

$17 - $19, this is competitive and based on experience
