Job Title: Junior Acquisition Support Specialist

Job Location: Hybrid Remote/Local DC Area Work must be performed CONUS. May report to the local office up to four (4) days monthly.

Reports To: Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full Time: 40 hours/week Flextime may be approved on an individual basis and if approved, it shall not start earlier than 0600 hrs and not later than 0900 hrs EST. Core hours of work are from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs daily.

Travel Required: Onboarding Travel: The employee will need to visit local offices multiple times to complete the security clearance process. This includes completing fingerprints and picking up a PIV badge and government-issued equipment. May report to local office up to four (4) days monthly.

Required Qualifications: The Junior Acquisition Support Specialist shall meet the following minimum academic and experience requirements:

Education: Twenty-four (24) semester hours of business-related college courses (Educational requirement may be substituted with a High School Degree, High School Equivalency (HSE), or General Education (GED) or Test assessing secondary completion (TASC) Certificates).
Work Experience: Three (3) years of experience performing equivalent acquisition support duties.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Two (2) years of experience performing equivalent duties.
Extensive experience in working with grants, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in close-out activities of grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, and interagency agreements.
- Understanding of grant lifecycles from proposal to closeout.
- Familiarity with grant compliance and reporting requirements.
Assemble or review new pre-procurement packages.
Research/assemble support documentation.
Validate data, assess financial and contractual issues.
Document findings.
Provide input to reports.
Assemble documents needed to advertise, solicit, construct, administer, and/or close out government contract vehicles.
Experience in automated systems and software applications, including Microsoft Word.
