Boutique DC elder law firm is seeking a motivated and attentive full-time Legal Assistant/Administrative Assistant to join their team at their Washington, DC office. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to learn.

Summary of Position:

The Legal Assistant supports the Attorneys of EDLC (www.edlc.com) across multiple practice areas. The position requires administrative and legal tasks. Overall, the performance requirements are to provide support services for their practices which include guardianships, conservatorships, probate, Medicaid, trust administration, estate planning and related areas of the law. The Legal Assistant/Administrative Assistant provides support to the attorneys with all aspects of their practices with a primary focus on maintaining time records, case management, calendar management, scheduling, client communication and completing case-related tasks as required. A successful candidate is able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Managing calendars and active participation in scheduling;
Managing timekeeping for client casework;
Assist in managing client contact;
Maintains management of documents and files;
Meets regularly with the partners;
Review and maintain email correspondence;
Organization and maintenance of offices;
Actively manages the daily schedule of the Principal and Associate;
Prepares drafts of correspondence and legal documents as required;
Reviews and edits documents including correspondence, letters, internal work products, etc.;
Coordinates timely communication and updates with clients; and
Develops and maintains competence in EDLC’s technology, including Lawmatics , Timeslips, Outlook, etc.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
