DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Brings patients back to exam rooms and prepares patients for physician by obtaining accurate medical history, vital signs and other necessary clinical information.
- Administers medications and injections per physician orders.
- Performs triage through appropriate communication and documentation.
- Reports lab results back to patients. Works with physicians to ensure timely receipt and reporting of results.
- Assists in management of patient records electronically.
- Prepares rooms for procedures - ensures proper functioning of medical equipment and maintains adequate stock of supplies.
- Ensures exam rooms are cleaned between patients and at the end of the day.
- Works with front office staff when clinical information is required to coordinate insurance referrals and authorizations.
- Provides support to front office staff when requested.
- Works with Office Manager and/or physician(s) to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures in accordance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
- Works with other personnel in office to achieve department objectives.
- Maintains professional growth and devalopment through seminars, workshops, and professional atiaton
QUALIFICATIONS (Experience, Skills, and Education Required):
- High School Degree
- 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic or office.
