Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment along with the logistics manager .
Duties
- Assist in coordinating transportation planning and dispatching of shipments.
- Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Utilize AS400 software for inventory management and data entry tasks.
- Support warehouse operations, including organizing stock and maintaining cleanliness.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and improve logistics efficiency.
- Collaborate with NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) for shipping documentation.
- Facilitate communication between suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Participate in inventory audits and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in dispatching and transportation planning.
- Experience operating forklifts is preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Data analysis skills to interpret logistics metrics effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.

Pay: $19.29 - $22.00 per hour
