Hops N Shine is a craft beer, moonshine, grilled cheese, and casual American food restaurant in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria.
We are now looking for fun, energetic people who love to smile while serving customers as a bartender apprentice. Experience is a plus but not needed. Must be 21+. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
As a bartender apprentice you should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, continually interact with customers, and provide an excellent guest experience in the restaurant.
Bartender apprentices will be able to pour beer for customers as necessary, take food orders, run food to customers, keep the dining area and patio clear, and assist bartenders where needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Checking customer identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
- Keeping track of bar inventory and replenishing when low
- Assist kitchen with expedition of food to customers
- Complying with food, beverage, and ABC regulations
- Assisting in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
- Providing support to social media effort
- Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Answering phone calls
- This is a part-time, tipped position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
