This opportunity is perfect for the Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) who:

· Is able to learn quickly and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

· Is able to perform medical assistant duties as outlined below
Minimum qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Current Medical Assistant Certification required
· One year of clinical medical experience preferred
· CPR Certification preferred
· Willing to be cross trained to work front and back office
· Experience with EMR
Responsibilities include:
· Prepares patients for examination and treatment
· Obtains vital signs and completes appropriate documentation in medical records
· Performs allergy skin prick and intradermal testing, spirometry, patch testing
· Performs food and drug challenges
· Performs patient education on asthma and allergic conditions
· Administers allergy injections, biologic injections
· Monitor patients for possible adverse reactions from allergy injections
· Follows up on prior authorizations and insurance authorizations
· Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment
· Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth and efficient clinical operations
· Maintains patient confidentiality
· Provides assistance to physician when requested
· Answers phones, schedules appointments
· Greets patients upon check-in
· Performs insurance eligibility checks
· Responds to messages and faxes in a timely manner, assists with patient questions
· Performs all other tasks and projects as assigned by physician and supervisor
