Summary:
The Business Development Manager for Zen Renovations will be responsible for driving sales growth by managing the sales cycle from initial inquiry to completion of the sales contract, as well as developing new sales leads. This role involves a deep understanding of construction, design principles, and a consultative sales process. The Project Developer will report to the company Owner.
Key Responsibilities:
Responding to Sales Inquires: Respond and qualify inbound sales leads arriving via our website, phone calls, and in-person visits to our two showroom locations. Schedule calls, Zooms, and in-person home consultations with clients.
In-Home Consultations: The Business Development Manager will conduct in-home consultations with prospective clients to learn about their renovation projects; assess the level of effort required; educate the client about Zen Renovations offerings; provide a ballpark estimate for the project; and determine next steps.
Design Sessions: Schedule design sessions with clients when appropriate and collaborate with the design team to prepare for in-person design sessions with clients.
Proposal Development: Prepare project estimates including material take-offs, labor estimates, and subcontractor bids. Prepare project proposals for clients for delivery in-person.
Contracting: Prepare detailed construction contracts as well as change orders for execution by clients.

Qualifications:
Deep content knowledge of construction. You must be able to do a thorough assessment of a client’s renovation needs during an on-site consultation. This requires an understanding of the structural aspect of older homes built between 1870-1930, as well as basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. Your construction knowledge must be extensive in the interior of homes including kitchens and bathrooms.
3+ years of experience in sales. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate a track record of work in consultative sales. The sales cycle can last anywhere from 1-4 months and is a carefully crafted light touch approach combined backed by a rock solid foundation of capacity to deliver the product. Your ability to develop relationships of trust wil be a key to your success. You must have experience in selling medium to large size contracts ranging from $50-$750k.
High Attention to Detail. Staff are held to an exceptionally high level of detail down to grammar. We are looking for candidates who hold themselves to high standards without requiring a high level of supervision.
Experience in lead development and partnership development. Strong track record of developing partnerships with surrounding businesses, organizations, and residences that will deliver leads.

High Proficiency in Software: We use Google Suite, Monday.com, Canvas, and Company Cam as technology platforms for the sales team.
Compensation and Benefits
Zen Renovations provides 4 weeks of paid vacation, fully company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, and a SIMPLE IRA plan with company contribution.
Salary - $60,000 - $70,000 + commission.
