Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure smooth and efficient food production while maintaining quality standards
- Execute existing traditional British dishes while developing new menu items for enthusiastic British gastropub fans
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain food cost control
- Lead, train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager and owners to plan and execute special events or promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage shifts and coordinate kitchen operations effectively
- Excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide a team of kitchen staff
- Proficient in food service management, including menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
- Spanish skills preferred
