The Support Services Associate will support our internal departments with account servicing needs. As a valued team member, you will complete internal service requests focusing on a variety of operational functions. This role will bring and demonstrate a service-focused and growth mindset. This is an exciting opportunity to bring forth new ideas and see those ideas come to life!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Builds and collaborates with others to achieve common goals.
Assists branches and related departments courteously and professionally.
Identifies member/customer needs and provides appropriate solutions.
Efficient processing of account maintenance and standard operating procedures.
Detailed execution of account servicing, including wires, ACH, debit and credit cards, and other account needs.
Answers questions and resolves problems according to SLAs and established timelines.
Performs high-quality, accurate transactions promptly to increase productivity and efficiency and prevent credit union losses.
Researches and resolves discrepancies and member account errors.
Completes related reports and posts entries to member accounts and general ledgers.
Uses sound judgement on when to engage support to resolve challenges.
Performs routine maintenance of various member records and detects and prevents errors and omissions.
Processes internal and external credit union reports and files within the required time constraints.
Keeps management and team members informed of area activities and any significant concerns.
Processes various claims with appropriate vendors and suppliers.
Provides ideas and input that supports the credit union’s mission, vision, and core values.
Responds positively to feedback and coaching.
Ability to work independently and seeks out ways to work efficiently.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Demonstrates commitment to SCU Values.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma
One (1)+ year of experience in transactional support services in the back-office bank or credit union industry.
General banking regulations and financial industry risk/exposure awareness.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications:
Financial Institution background.
Familiarity with Regulation Z, E, and the dispute process.
Familiarity with ACH/Wires processing.
Familiarity with Debits and Credit Cards.
Technology proficient.
Working Conditions:
This is a hybrid role with work performed remotely as well as in an office and/or branch environment in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.
Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The pay range for this role is: 22 - 27.55 USD per hour (Remote)
