Job Summary

Duties
- Operate cash registers and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions effectively and provide accurate change to customers.
- Supervise junior staff or assist in training new cashiers when required.
- Communicate effectively with customers over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cashier in a grocery store or retail setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and cash handling practices is beneficial.
