Main Purpose of Job

To enter all orders into our ERP system. To interact with customers, account reps., designers, shops and warehouses assuring accuracy of orders, answering of questions about products, lead times, pricing to include quotes to customers, etc. and to promote customer satisfaction. This position will be responsible for coordinating and supporting various sales operations including tracking, analyzing and reporting on sales data, entering orders, administrative, technology, and system support, and other administrative and customer service duties as assigned. This position will regularly interact with customers, board members and stakeholders to answer questions and concerns about products, pricing, lead times, state procurement procedures etc. to promote customer satisfaction throughout the agency.

POSITION DUTIES

The customer service representative will serve as the client's primary point of contact with MCE. The duties and

responsibilities of a CSR include managing incoming calls and customer service inquiries, generating sales leads that

develop into new customers, and identifying and assessing customer needs to achieve satisfaction.

Receive and prepare purchase orders for processing.

Check for color, sizing, item numbers, prices, bill to addresses and ship to addresses.

Enter and track orders on an ERP computer system for shop production.

Coordinate orders with Warehouses or shops.

Answer and direct telephone calls from customers by logging all information on customer contact sheets, research customer questions and respond either in writing or by telephone.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Six months of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

1. One year experience in sales and/or customer service.

2. Experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management (ERP and/or CRM)software.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
