The Administrative Support Assistant / Legal Administrative Assistant Trainee role is mentored by an experienced member of our legal administrative support team and provided with an opportunity to advance to a Legal Administrative Assistant position. You’ll benefit from exceptional leadership, hands-on training, and the chance to build a solid foundation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filings is beneficial, and those with a willingness to learn will receive instruction. This position requires in-office support, with the potential for a hybrid-remote work schedule after a period of training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to assigned attorneys, including calendaring, drafting correspondence, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing attorney contact and client lists.
- Provides assistance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) electronic document filings.
- Assists with scanning, copying, and printing projects for legal support staff, attorneys, and paralegals.
- Plans, produces, edits, and formats correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other legal documents using computers, transcription equipment, and office software.
- Routes conflict checks and assists with opening new clients/matters through the Firm’s client intake software.
- Collaborates with administrative support staff (document production, receptionists, business office, etc.) and proofs documents returned from document production.
Experience and Education Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree is preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in an administrative capacity required.
- Prior experience which required excellent organizational and communication skills preferred.
Compensation:
For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in Washington D.C., the expected salary range is $55,000-$62,000 annually upon commencement of employment. Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications. This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
