Inova Behavioral Health Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist to join the CATS - IOP Merrifield team. Behavioral Health Therapist 1- Job Responsibilities:

The Behavioral Health Therapist 1 provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved registered clinical supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education : Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, or EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health-related field.
Experience : Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
Certifications :
- Basic Life Support required within 3months of hire
- Vistelar required within 6 Months of hire
License : one of the following required within 5 years.

Must comply with the appropriate licensing board requirement for registering as a Resident in Training or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work or applicable title identified by the specific licensing board within 4 months of hire.
