Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks to transport goods between locations.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Ensure that all items are secured properly for transport to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Follow designated routes while being adaptable to changes in schedules or routes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is a plus.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving of goods is essential.
- Knowledge of route driving and courier services will be beneficial.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other loading equipment effectively.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
