Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and packages efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires driving a box truck and may involve heavy lifting, moving, and operating warehouse equipment. The Courier Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Drive a Car, Cargo van, SUV to deliver packages and goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of all materials.
- Follow designated routes for efficient delivery while maintaining schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues encountered during transport.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols is essential.
- Experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial, including knowledge of loading/unloading procedures.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is required.
