Job Title: Delivery Driver
FLSA Status: Part-time
Reports to: Operations and Logistics Manager
Work Locations: Washington, D.C
Work Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00PM Mon. - Fri., or 6:30 AM - 3:00PM Tues. - Sat.
ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION: Dreaming Out Loud’s (DOL) mission is to create economic opportunities for the DC metro region’s marginalized community members through building a healthy, equitable food system.
POSITION SUMMARY: Delivery Driver for Food Hub.
Key Responsibilities of Food Hub Operations Driver:
Logistics & Delivery
- Safely operate delivery vehicles including 26 ft truck, refrigerated van, sprinter vans, and box trucks.
- Load, transport, and unload orders accurately and on schedule.
- Door to Door order fulfillment with proof of delivery
- Maintain delivery logs and conduct routine vehicle inspections.
- Support logistics team with daily preparation and vehicle upkeep.
Warehouse & Inventory
- Receive, sort, and stock incoming products.
- Prepare Pallets for next day delivery
- Farm and Market produce pickups
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire
- At least 2 years of experience driving a Box Truck
- At least 6 months of experience using a pallet jack
- Smartphone with working camera and data package
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check, which includes MVR screening
- At least 1 year of experience with navigation apps (Google Maps, Hammer, Waze, etc)
COMPENSATION:

$24.04–$25.50 based on experience
