Overview
We are a local family owned and operated Furniture store serving clients in the DC Metro area. Our company is seeking a reliable Mover to join our delivery team. Duties include handling of high value and fragile furniture, moving furniture inside our customers' homes, and servicing products. Our delivery radius is 150 miles or sometimes more, safe driving record is required. On the job training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of our company box truck
- Load and unload products using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or lifting.
- Deliver inside customers' homes and placing furniture under customers' direction.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Start Time 7:30am with completion time varying depending on current work load. Monday through Friday
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mover or in a similar role is required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and fellow staff members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must complete a background check
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
