Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen spaces that meet our clients' needs. You will work closely with customers to understand their vision, provide expert advice, and guide them through the renovation process. Your ability to balance design with practical considerations will be key to ensuring customer satisfaction and project success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their kitchen design preferences and requirements.
- Create detailed kitchen layouts using CAD software and SketchUp to visualize designs.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing kitchen spaces and gather necessary measurements.
- Provide expert advice on materials, finishes, appliances, and lighting design options.
- Manage the sales process from initial consultation through final installation, including upselling products and services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while maintaining a focus on high-end sales.
- Coordinate with contractors and construction teams during the renovation process to ensure designs are executed accurately.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective account management and exceptional customer service.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and design techniques to provide innovative solutions.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software and SketchUp for layout design.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in high-end sales environments.
- Knowledge of renovation processes, construction practices, and interior design principles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interactions and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organizational skills.
- Experience in inside sales, retail sales, or product demos related to kitchen products is a plus.
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous for engaging a diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with lighting sales and design concepts is beneficial.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and retail math applications.
