Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in patient care, medical administrative support, and clinical procedures. We would love to training a new medical assistant. We see one patient hourly and we are not a busy clinic. Many of hour patients would like to see our provider virtually. We are looking for a medical assistant who is willing to do administrative works and organize an office. The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support to patients and enhance their overall experience.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform intake duties, including gathering patient histories and vital signs.
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management and coding (ICD coding).
- Provide basic life support as needed and maintain current certification.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and geriatric care to effectively communicate with patients.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients during their visits.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient service in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a clinical setting
- Understanding of basic life support techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Proficiency in EHR systems for effective patient data management
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
- Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of ICD coding practices is a plus.
- IV vitamin Administration is a plus and we offer extra $10 per hour for IV administration
