Assistant General Manager
We are seeking a dynamic, service-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead a high-energy hospitality operation. The Assistant General Manager supports the overall success of the operation by helping oversee daily service, leading team performance, maintaining high food and beverage standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience from start to finish. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a hands-on management style, and a solid background in restaurant and food service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, shift execution, and overall operational flow
- Lead, coach, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure high performance and consistent execution
- Help maintain exceptional service standards and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Oversee service quality, food presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to brand and operational standards
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost-control practices to minimize waste and support profitability
- Monitor cash handling, daily financial procedures, and POS accuracy to ensure security and accountability
- Support budgeting, labor management, and financial performance goals in partnership with senior leadership
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training team members to build a strong, engaged, and service-focused staff
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture that supports both employee development and guest satisfaction
- Support a variety of service styles and event formats, including à la carte dining, large-format events, catering, and banquet execution
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in hospitality, restaurant, or food and beverage operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, hold standards, and drive results in high-volume environments
- Experience with staff supervision, training, and performance development
- Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, sanitation, and service standards
- Familiarity with POS systems and operational tools used for sales, reporting, and inventory management
- Experience with labor management, budgeting, inventory control, and cost containment
- Ability to remain composed, organized, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach to leadership
- Hotel catering, banquet, or upscale dining experience is strongly preferred

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
