Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional experience in blood collection and specimen handling, with a strong commitment to patient care and safety. This role plays a vital part in supporting diagnostic services and ensuring accurate laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of varying ages
Accurately label, process, and transport specimens according to established protocols
Verify patient identity and maintain detailed documentation
Follow strict infection control and sanitation procedures
Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients during procedures
Collaborate with clinical staff to support timely and accurate testing
Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies
Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and institutional policies

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Knows how to use both Straight needles & butterfly Needles.
Knows the Order of Draw
Minimum of 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience, 2+ years highly preferred.
Certification (e.g., CPT from NHA or ASCP) preferred- Not Required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling 25-50+ blood draws per day.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and lab systems is a plus
