OVERVIEW

The IT Support Specialist reports to the IT Manager with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. The IT Support Specialist will provide first-level IT helpdesk support and training to in-person and remote staff. The successful applicant will participate in IT projects as identified and act as an onsite or remote technical support resource. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for the IT Support Specialist:
- Provide Tier 1 support for computers, mobile devices, printers, and basic networking issues
- Assist staff members with Microsoft 365 suite of products (Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word)
- Track all incidents and service requests through a ticketing system
- Provision new user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory
- Set up and deploy new workstations, laptops and mobile devices
- Create and maintain IT documentation for common support issues and best practices
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff and learn from hands-on guidance
- Conduct routine audits of IT assets and track assets as directed
- Assist with technical training for staff members
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The IT Support Specialist must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
