Job Description:
As an Event Setup & Labor Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the setup, running, and strike (tear-down) of events.
- Working as part of a team to transport, assemble, and disassemble equipment.
- Ensuring event spaces are clean, organized, and ready for guests.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Following instructions and working efficiently to meet event timelines.
- Commuting to our warehouse for equipment loading and preparation.
- Commuting to event locations within the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area.
- Occasional travel opportunities may arise for events outside the primary service area.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; however, previous event or general labor experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including long hours and weekends.
- Ability to follow instructions and work quickly.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reliably commute to our warehouse and various event locations within the DC, MD, and Northern VA region.
Bonus Points:
- Experience driving cargo vans or box trucks.
- DOT License
Schedule:
- Primarily weekend availability required, with occasional weekday opportunities.
Location:
- Work will primarily take place at event locations throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
- Warehouse location is in Gaithersburg, MD.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
