Powercon Corp is a leading switchgear manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality electrical solutions. We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Stockroom Associate to join our team. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Accurately label and store materials in designated stockroom locations.
- Maintain organized and clean stockroom areas to ensure ease of access and safety.
- Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts; assist with reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Issue materials to production or other departments as requested.
- Track stock levels and notify the supervisor of inventory or replenishment needs.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records using inventory management systems or spreadsheets.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or inventory-related role preferred.
- Basic computer skills required (experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and handle physical workload
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks precisely.
