Job Description
Commercial Property Maintenance/Groundskeeping will be a member of the team responsible for various maintenance tasks, repairs and groundskeeping at any of the company’s properties located in Merrifield, Springfield, Chantilly and assorted areas in Virginia. Use of a reliable personal vehicle for travel is required. The Maintenance Technician will communicate and work closely with the Owner, Property Managers, co-workers, Tenants and Contractors. Excellent Clearly understood communication ability, writing, keyboard and computer skills required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform lawn maintenance, landscaping, lot cleaning including tree trimming, weeding, pruning, mowing, mulching, and snow removal.
· Have basic skills and knowledge of plumbing and, electrical and HVAC systems.
· Ability to operate and maintain lawn equipment and small engine tools including chainsaw.
· Have basic carpentry and handyman skills to perform minor repairs.
· Complete interior/exterior janitorial tasks.
· Ability to climb ladders up to 40ft, lift 50 or more pounds and move furniture
· Knowledge of interior and exterior painting
· Monitor inventory and report maintenance status of all equipment.
· Maintain the weekly maintenance schedule and task list.
· Research and order supplies needed for job tasks. Turn in receipts.
· Willingness to assume additional responsibilities as needed.
Preferred experience and education:
· Highschool diploma/GED
· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Google.
· Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
· Must be able to speak English fluently.
· Should have previous commercial maintenance experience.
· A background check and drug test will be required prior to employment.
