Position Overview

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Reception / ID Check to join our cannabis dispensary team. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring compliance with state and local cannabis regulations. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
Verify government-issued photo identification to ensure all customers meet legal age requirements.
Accurately log and maintain visitor information in compliance with state cannabis regulations.
Direct customers to appropriate areas of the dispensary.
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about dispensary services and policies.
Assist with customer check-in procedures, including entering customer information into the point-of-sale or tracking systems.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Support dispensary staff with administrative tasks as needed.
Monitor lobby activity to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
Uphold strict confidentiality regarding customer information and dispensary operations.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old (per state cannabis regulations).
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or administrative experience preferred.
Prior customer service, receptionist, or retail experience strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify identification documents.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with cannabis laws and regulations (preferred, training provided).
Basic computer and data entry skills required.
