ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sorter Helper sorts mail in a variety of classifications as it is processed on inkjet and inserting equipment. The position requires an understanding of USPS regulations and some experience operating machinery. This is a great position for anyone looking to learn new skills and join a quickly growing team.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm

Note: This position requires the ability to complete and pass a Public Trust Security Clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sort mail for a variety of USPS classifications.
Operate strapping machine.
Read and understand postal sorting documentation.
Operate pallet jack to move mail.
Assist Operator in feeding and running machine.
Complete appropriate sorting documentation.
Complies with DCG ONE’s environmental policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous mail sorting experience preferred.
Previous inkjet or inserting experience a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or stand for long periods of time.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
