Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a vital role in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the Jet’s Pizza. This position is responsible for overseeing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the financial success of the business. The AGM acts as a leader, motivator, and problem-solver, ensuring a positive work environment and a memorable experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
· Operations Management: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Jet’s Pizza, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met.
· Staff Supervision: Help recruit, train, schedule, and supervise team members. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and staff morale.
· Customer Service: Ensure every customer receives excellent service by resolving complaints, addressing concerns, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
· Quality Control: Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure products meet company standards. Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Marketing & Promotions: Support in implementing local marketing initiatives and promotions to drive sales and community engagement.
· Problem Solving: Quickly and effectively handle unexpected situations, such as staffing shortages or equipment malfunctions.
· Inventory & Supply Management: Assist in overseeing ordering and receiving of inventory, manage stock levels, and control waste.
· Team Leadership: Foster a positive team culture, motivate employees, and help resolve conflicts.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
· 1-2 years of supervisory experience in the food service industry, preferably in pizza or quick-service restaurants.
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic math and computer skills; experience with point-of-sale systems a plus.
· Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
· Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with hot surfaces and sharp utensils.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
