Our client in the Beltsville, MA area is currently seeking a detail-driven Inventory Specialist to oversee, track, and maintain accurate inventory levels across departments. In this role, you’ll ensure materials and products are properly received, stored, issued, and documented while partnering closely with operations, procurement, and logistics. Your work will help keep workflows efficient and prevent shortages or excess stock.
The Day-to-Day:
- Maintain precise inventory records within our inventory management system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical audits; reconcile discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to monitor stock and plan replenishment.
- Investigate inventory variances, determine root causes, and implement fixes.
- Organize and label inventory for efficient storage, retrieval, and distribution.
- Produce inventory reports that highlight usage trends, shortages, and cost insights.
- Uphold company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
- Support leadership with special warehouse assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate/bachelor’s preferred).
- 2+ years in inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with ERP/WMS or similar inventory systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay: $18.25 - $20.50 per hour
