We are seeking two full-time Maintenance Assistants, one for our locations on the Eastern Shore & the other for our Crofton & Davidsonville homes. The Davidsonville location will be opening soon. This individual will perform maintenance, custodial, and housekeeping tasks at Arcadia to keep our houses safe & inviting for residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· Valid state Driver’s license.
· Reliable transportation
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
Perform housekeeping tasks:
· Clean all common areas and rooms by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, & scrubbing.
· Perform routine deep cleanings of floors, kitchens, & common areas.
· Empty and sanitize trash containers in common use areas.
· Move, rearrange, and dust furniture and fixtures.
· Vacuum the dining room and wipe tables and chairs after use during daytime shift.
· Vacuum and mop entryway floor as needed; dust drapes and mini blinds as needed.
Perform maintenance tasks:
· Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, or as directed by management.
· Report mechanical problems or irregularities to management.
· Report equipment failures that cannot be repaired and make recommendations for replacement.
· Perform miscellaneous light repairs, e.g., plunging toilets, changing light bulbs.
· Make preventative maintenance inspections as directed by management.
· Complete necessary work for room flips, e.g., move furniture, prep walls for painting, window screens, cleaning etc.
· Keep trash/recycling areas clean and safe.
· Shovel walkways and paths as needed.
· Perform occasional ground maintenance.
· Provide management team with ongoing communication, documentation and reporting of mechanical/building problems via Microsoft Teams.
· Check stock and recommend or order parts and supplies when needed.
Perform other support functions and tasks:
· Attend and participate in weekly meetings and keep information confidential as appropriate.
· Assist management/office staff with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
· Perform and assist in other assignments as needed and directed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.30 per hour
