DFM manages over 400 County buildings, ensuring they are maintained at the highest level to provide a comfortable environment for employees and the public.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThis recruitment is for the evening shift Plumber. Hours are 2:30pm - 11pm. This position may require off site work, weekend and evening hours.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Employee will perform skilled maintenance and repair work on various plumbing systems and fixtures, fire sprinklers and other major systems and equipment. The work will be performed indoors and outside and can be dirty, dusty, and greasy. It involves occasional exposure to noxious odors, chemicals and solvents, and human or animal waste, for which use of safety or protective equipment/clothing is required. Duties include: installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing and sanitary fixtures, restoration and repair of various plumbing systems and correction of leaks, reading and interpreting plans and specifications to ensure that completed work meets building code requirements. Applicants must also be able to work any fixed shift for 5 consecutive days, which may include evening shifts or weekends. This position is considered Essential, and employees are required to respond or may be placed on stand-by duty during severe weather or other urgent conditions. Employee must have the ability to work standby shifts and respond to after-hours emergency service calls. Work schedule may change to include weekends and/or evenings as part of the regular workweek.
