Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to inventory management, shipping and receiving, and overall warehouse distribution. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to operate various types of equipment while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks for loading and unloading materials.
- Perform inventory control tasks, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular counts.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Assist in packaging products for shipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required for stocking and order picking.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Participate in shipping & receiving processes, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and systems such as AS400 is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience with order picking, packing, and shipping processes is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
