Part Time to Full Time Podiatric Medical Assistant needed to join our team whom will be responsible to perform a variety of basic medical, patient care, and administrative activities in a Podiatric setting. We cross train our employees to promote efficiency in our office seating.
Qualifications Minimum: Education High School Diploma or GED Specific Requirements and Graduate from a Medical Assistant Training Program(Preferred).
Minimum Work Experience 2 years Experience in a Medical Office Setting (Required) Experience with patient care and treatment room procedures. Medical equipment and medical terminology. Experience with electronic medical records. X-Ray experience(preferred)

Job Duties:
1. Prepare patients for examination and treatment; verify patient by name, age and date of birth; review and update electronic health record for Medications and Labs; Perform and record vital signs in EMR instruct patient in basic testing requirements and medical procedures;
2. Clean exam and treatment rooms after patient encounter.
3. Collect and process lab specimens.
4. Observe and report patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to provider.
5. Assist providers with management of patient treatment plans, allergies, medications and history.
6. Prepare and maintain medical supplies and equipment
7. Understand guidelines regarding HIPPA and OSHA regulations.
8. Contribute to a positive work environment and able to work independently.
9. Manage accounts, Assist, educate, and dispense durable medical equipment devices including therapeutic shoes, crutches, orthotics to patients and family.
Hours are MONDAY,TUESDAY AND THURSDAY FROM 8:30am-4:00 pm. and WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAYS FROM 9:00am-2:00 pm.
