Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our Office-Based Surgery (OBS) Center team. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons with patient coordination and preparation, confirming patient consents are updated and accurate as well as maintaining sterile processes, to deliver the highest level of service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Works in the Office Based Surgery Center (OBS) primarily in the assigned role to ensure proper flow in the surgical suite.
· Maintains an inventory count of the necessary supply and ensures supplies are timely replenished.
· Reviews and verifies patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and charts for the procedure.
· Assist the surgeon with the procedure following prescribed safety protocols for the role.
· Ensures all instruments required, as well as the correct implant, are available and being used for each patient.
· Ensures instruments are sterilized per protocol and records maintained.
· Comply with all HIPAA regulations in all interactions with patient information.
· Other related duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform ophthalmologic testing including visual acuity testing as assigned.
Required Qualification
· High School graduate or higher
· Experience with EMR and other medical systems software
· Proficient in computer programs and navigating a computer effectively
· Previous clinical or medical office experience.
- BLS certification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
