Our client is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Wire Cutter to join their warehouse operations team in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in wire processing and a strong understanding of warehouse functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using RF scanners, operating wire cutting machinery, and handling physical labor in a fast-paced environment. The Day-to-Day:
- Select orders using RF scanner technology.
- Accurately cut and spool various wire sizes using designated cutting equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of wire footage on stock reels and update wire tag markers accordingly.
- Notify appropriate personnel when inventory levels of wire are low.
- Transport materials and finished products to designated storage or staging areas.
- Sort, scan, and organize materials onto appropriate racks, shelves, and bins.
- Frequently lift and move materials up to 70 lbs as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience with RF scanning devices.
- Ability to measure and cut wire accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
